Adobe owns the PDF. If your work already runs through Acrobat, signing there is the path of least resistance - and if it does not, you are buying into the Adobe stack to send a contract.
What each one is for
Adobe Acrobat Sign is signing inside Adobe's document ecosystem. Its advantage is that the ecosystem is already on most desks: Acrobat is how a great many people open, edit and combine PDFs in the first place, and signing from inside that tool removes a step.
It is also licensed the way Adobe licenses things, in dollars, usually as part of a wider entitlement, and administered alongside the rest of the Adobe estate. That is fine when you are already an Adobe customer and heavy when you are not.
Lucid Signing does not care what produced the PDF. It takes the file, places fields, routes it, and returns a sealed copy with the trail attached - as a standalone product with its own price and its own support.

Choose Adobe Acrobat Sign if
- Your team already lives in Acrobat and you want signing in the tool that is already open.
- You have an existing Adobe agreement that makes adding signing close to free.
- You need Adobe's wider document processing - heavy PDF editing, forms, redaction - alongside signing.
Choose Lucid Signing if
- You do not otherwise need Acrobat and would rather not licence it to send a contract.
- You want rand pricing and a local invoice.
- You want a small, fast product with a support address that a person answers.
